Sergeant II Desi Ehrlich
In 1997, Sergeant II Desi Ehrlich joined the LAPD, being promoted to Sergeant I in 2007 and Sergeant II in 2008. He has spent most of his career in San Fernando Valley assignments and in 2008 was named as the Vice Unit Officer In Charge of the transition team for the new Topanga Area Police Station.
In August, 2009, Sergeant Ehrlich was transitioned over to his current position of Officer in Charge of the Topanga Community Relations Office. In this capacity, some of the many areas Sgt. Ehrlich oversees are the Senior Lead Officers, volunteers, police reserves, Topanga Volunteer Surveillance Team, and the 3 youth programs; Police Activity League (PAL), Jeopardy, and Police Cadets.
Sgt. Ehrlich is married with two children and enjoys supporting and coaching their basketball and baseball teams in addition to dirtbike riding, boating, and camping.
